With more than 300,000 annual visitors, La Ferme aux Crocodiles, located in the heart of the Drôme Provençale, is the most popular tourist attraction in the area and one of the Iconic Sites of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Today, with nearly 600 animals, including crocodiles, alligators, giant tortoises and turtles, monitor lizards, pythons, iguanas, birds and tropical fish, La Ferme aux Crocodiles has become the leading European park for breeding and exhibiting reptiles.
La Ferme aux Crocodiles is an incredibly exotic park with more than 600 species of tropical plants, including aromatic plants, fruit trees, aquatic plants, spices and even giant herbs. Flora and fauna combine to create a breathtakingly exotic setting.
To help visitors to learn more about these animals in a fun and interactive way, the teams at La Ferme aux Crocodiles organise a wide range of daily events and activities including feeding times, sessions to meet the animals, documentaries and more.
In 2018, a new visitor trail was created to help visitors to find out everything there is to know about reptiles. This includes new panels at different reading levels, a clearer sense of the direction to follow during the visit and interactive facilities (a world map, crocodile skulls, binoculars for observation, quizzes and more).
La Ferme aux Crocodiles is open all year round, no matter what the weather. The site is entirely enclosed, making it the perfect destination for visits even in the depths of winter.
At La Ferme aux Crocodiles, you’re sure to enjoy a one-of-a-kind family day out!
